Happy Friday, everyone!
Some fun events are coming up this weekend:
- The Women’s Christmas Brunch is Saturday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Marsh home (39832 Aladdin Circle in Temecula). To get there, go east on Rancho California Road toward the wineries. Turn left on Anza (the roundabout), then right on Brenda (turns into dirt road), then right on Aladdin Circle. Their home is at the end of the cup-de-sac. - The Youth Christmas Party is Sunday, immediately after the worship service at the Recio home. For more information, please contact Pastor Robert.
We also have two opportunities for you to help the less fortunate this Christmas season:
- Hope’s Community Closet is a local agency that provides new and gently used clothing to children in need. We are partnering with them to provide NEW underwear and socks for children ages 4-18. Please bring your donations to church and put them in the box provided near the bulletin table. If you have any questions, please see Zsuzsi Khoury or Teresa Misiti.
- We are also going to take up a special offering for our friends at Olive Branch Ministries on December 20th. Please plan on writing a separate check that day or marking a cash gift for Olive Branch Ministries. The money will go to several needy families in that congregation who would not otherwise be able to buy Christmas gifts for their children.
Finally, please remember that our Lessons and Carols service is coming up on December 20th. Please share the Facebook post from the church’s Facebook page and invite unbelieving friends and family to this service. It’s a great opportunity for them to hear the story of redemption from the Old Testament to the New Testament, along with singing some familiar Christmas carols.
