CloseRev. Robert Recio -
A Life of Faith (Ecclesiastes 9:1-12)
Ecclesiastes 9:1-12 reinforces the argument that the book is about faith. Here, the Preacher lays out life lived by sight on one hand and by faith on the other. It’s so easy to live by sight, overwhelmed by inherent injustice, sin, and brokenness as well as death’s constant looming shadow that colors everything. Ultimately, the answers lie in the Gospel; instead of despair and aimless and anxious striving, we have hope, rest, and gratitude.
