Happy Friday, everyone!
This is the last Sunday to RSVP for our Mercy Committee lunch meeting next week. The meeting on Feb 28th is “bring your own lunch,” so please make plans to grab something to eat before you make your way to the Jensons. This launch meeting is an opportunity for you to hear directly from the deacons about their work, about the need for a mercy committee, as well as to hear your ideas for ways we can be the hands and feet of Jesus for people in our church and in our community.
Please visit the sign-up table for our new neighborhood groups that are launching on March 13th! Each region in our area will have a dedicated group, making it possible for you to meet with other folks in your area for fellowship, prayer, and discipleship.
As we mentioned last week, we were informed that Chaparral High School will be undergoing major repair work through the summer and we will need to find a new place to meet. The elders are considering all of our options, and are eager to see how the Lord provides for us during this time. Please pray that God would guide us to a new home. If you have any leads or ideas, please speak to one of the elders.
Finally, we heard some sad news this week that one of our members, Alli Marshall, who moved to Colorado Spring with her daughter Alena, has died. Alli had many different health issues, but it is not yet clear what caused her death. Please pray for Alli’s family as they care for Alena.
