We’re kicking off the year with a new sermon series on spiritual warfare. If you missed the first sermon last week, I’d encourage you to “catch-up” and listen to it before we turn to the next big idea this Sunday, described below. If one of your goals for the New Year is to systematically read through large sections of Scripture, I recommend that you review the different Bible reading plans that are available at the ESV website (http://www.esvbible.org) . Click the “plans” button in the top left corner of the homepage for a list of options. I’ve recently been using the ESV app on my phone to read and listen to the Bible. The audio recording is really good and a helpful way to spend additional time in the Word of God.
Our women’s prayer and Bible study groups resumed this week, as did our youth group. Our men’s study resumes on February 6. Please make a point of participating in these smaller gatherings of study and fellowship.
