CloseRev. Robert Recio -
The Beginning of the End (Matthew 26:1-16)
Beginning the descent down the road leading to Jesus’ suffering and death, wicked actors scheme but Jesus’ sovereign will in saving his people from sin and death is underway and will be accomplished. We need more than a wise teacher; we need a Savior who goes to the cross for followers unable to save themselves. Jesus’ death, while the greatest act of injustice and evil the world has ever known, is no tragedy. It’s the triumphant act of our Great Shepherd, laying down his life to save his sheep.
