CloseRev. Dan Warne -
Conscience and Courage in Exile (Daniel 1:1-21)
Daniel 1 defines being in the world and not of it; drawing a line in the sand, Refusing to bow to an idol or just simply praying; the result being thrown in a fiery furnace or to the lions. But eating vegetables? A strange place to draw the line. But it’s not about the vegetables! It’s about the power that commits Daniel & Co. to conscientious and courageous living and faith in an ancient promise deeper than the disobedience that led Judah into exile. A promise that pertains to us today.
