CloseRev. Dan Warne -
To Him Who Loves Us (Revelation 1:5b-6)
Doxologies are anything but formal, dead rituals or something we can go through the motions reading. They are explosions of praise born of deep reflection on glorious truths about God and His grace to us in Jesus. In this first sermon in the new mini-series Doxology, we look at the Apostle John’s opening word of glory to God in Revelation 1:5-6.
From Series: "Doxology"
Doxology isn’t a word you often bump into outside of a worship service. It’s a Greek word that roughly translates as “a word of glory” or “glory speak,” and often shows up in a very formal, even liturgical way in the New Testament. But these doxologies are anything but formal, dead rituals or just something we can go through the motions reading. They are explosions of praise born of deep reflection on glorious truths about God and His grace to us in Jesus.
