The Heart of the Matter (James 4:1-12)
"What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you?” James’ question 2,000 years ago is as pressing and relevant in 21-century churches and one we would do well to ask in our marriages, families, neighborhoods, and workplaces. Wherever two or more sinners are gathered there will be conflict. James’ answer to the question is notable; he reminds us that our reaction comes about because of what’s in our hearts. This Sunday we unpack wisdom in the face of conflict and see our need of God’s grace.
