CloseRev. Robert Recio -
A New Community (John 13:31-35)
Aside from holiness, prayerfulness, and community, one of the most counter-cultural things to which Jesus calls his people is community. In a hyper-individualist and increasingly tribal culture, it’s Jesus’ call to a community of diverse men, women, and children united in him that is an extraordinary witness to the reality and power of the gospel. This week, we look at the end of the Gospel of John where Jesus lays out his heart for the community in his final words to his disciples.
