The idea of peace is everywhere at Christmas; decorations and carols speak to the peace that the angels announced at the birth of Jesus. In this second week of advent (Peace) we’ll look at Psalm 85, which is about the establishment of God’s kingdom where steadfast love and faithfulness meet. Psalm 85 looks forward to the peace of Jesus’ kingdom; the peace that God offers through the coming of his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
