CloseRev. Robert Recio -
Flipping the Script (Matthew 19:13-30)
In this week’s passage, Matthew 19:13-30, parents bring their children to Jesus for blessings, and a successful young aristocrat stops Jesus to make sure he’s doing all the right things in life. These episodes convey so much about who Jesus is and the kingdom that He has ushered in. It’s a beautiful reminder that Jesus is in the business of upending our value systems and the false places in which we look for strength so that we see our need of Him and His grace.
