Last fall, the church nominated a new deacon. Before he is eligible to be elected, the nominee must undergo additional officer training this spring. Pastor Eric would like to invite any other men in the church who might be interested to sit in on this training. This training does not automatically qualify you for serving as an ordained officer in the church, but it is an necessary step in the process. It’s also an opportunity for those who do not ever envision themselves serving as officers to go a little deeper into our doctrine and beliefs.
You do NOT need to have completed the Leadership Training that normally comes before the Officer Training to participate in the study this spring. If you want to participate in this training with our nominee and Pastor Eric, please email Pastor Eric as soon as possible. Our first meeting will be Saturday, February 27th, at 8:00 a.m. Subsequent meetings will take place on the fourth Saturday morning of every month through June.
