CloseRev. Robert Recio -
The Lord's Supper (Matthew 26:17-29)
This week we look at the institution of the Lord’s Supper. Verses 26-29 present this meal in relative simplicity, yet it has resulted in so much disagreement and confusion throughout church history. The account is brief, yet Matthew conveys the powerful truths of the Lord’s Table; Jesus presents the story of the Gospel. Through His broken body and shed blood we are reminded of God’s promise-keeping love, the forgiveness of sins, and the triumphant hope we have through the work of Christ on the cross.
