Happy Friday everyone!
Pastor Robert and I are looking forward to spending some time with those of you who have recently begun attending the church. Our two-week long Discovery Class begins this Sunday. We’ll meet immediately after the worship service for lunch and discussion. If you’re a “regular” at Christ Presbyterian, please pray for the new folks who will be coming to the lunch and make an effort this Sunday to seek out someone you do not know: invite them over, get to know them, ask how you can pray for them!
There are only three more weeks in our summer communicants class. The kids have worked up through chapter 8; there was no homework this week. Parents, if your child is expressing an interest in making a public profession of faith, it is important that they complete the workbook before they meet with your elder to discuss the next steps. Please pray for all of our kids, especially those who are older and have not made a profession of faith. Pray that they would heed Christ’s claim of kingship on their lives.
Our next all church baby shower will on Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 am at the Jenson home. This shower will be a potluck brunch. A sign-up sheet is on the back table along with invitations. Shower and gift donations will also be collected. Please see Zsuzsi Khoury, Teresa Misiti, or Angela Jenson with any donations.
