Happy Friday, everyone!
I have four “M”‘s for you today:
First, a move: Please plan on helping Sam and Zsuzsi Khoury move tomorrow. We’re gathering at 8:15 am at a self-storage unit at 25086 Jefferson Avenue. After loading, we’ll unload the truck at the Khourys news home at 24010 Ristras Lane in Murrieta. This should be a quick move and the more people are there to help, the quicker it will go! GUYS: the men’s study is canceled so that we can help with the move.
Second, our missions committee is meeting on Sunday morning at 10:00 in the classroom down the hall from the auditorium. Please join us for prayer and an update on Olive Branch Ministries, which will be our focus for the month of March. Also look for updated prayer requests from our missionaries on the bulletin table.
Third, our new mercy committee will be taking a collection for the food pantry at Olive Branch Ministries every Sunday during the month of March. Pastor Seth has requested gas cards, food gift cards, canned foods, boxed goods, and hygiene products. Here is a list of canned food items that will be good for the food pantry: chicken, beef, tuna, ham, stew, chili, soup, peanut butter, almond butter, nuts, beans, vegetables, diced tomato, tomato sauce, pasta sauce, fruit, baby foods, condiments, vegetable oil, stuffing, instant potatoes, pasta, rice, grains, oatmeal, dried fruit, healthy snacks for kids, boxed juice, dried milk, wipes, diapers, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, ibuprofen, Tylenol. No perishables, no sugary foods, smaller quantities are best, pop-top lids are great for the homeless.
Fourth, please plan on staying after church for a brief meeting to talk about a few important changes in the life of our church. Members and guests are encouraged to remain in the auditorium after the benediction for a brief announcement. The nursery workers will keep the younger children until we conclude.
