It’s Friday, but Sunday’s Comin’!

Happy Friday, everyone!

This Sunday, our new Mercy Committee will have its “Launch Lunch” at the Jenson home after the worship service. Please bring your own lunch. There will be a time for you to brainstorm ideas for reaching to folks in our community with other people in the congregation, so spend time thinking about ways we can be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community prior to your lunch on Sunday.

Have you signed up for the new Neighborhood Groups that will begin on March 13th? There are five groups, scattered through the region. These groups are intended to provide regular opportunities for you to grow deeper in your relationship with God with other people from our church who live near you. The Bible assumes that we will have deep “one anothering” relationships with people in our churches, but too often we only connect with people who are like us, in the same stage of life, or with whom we have something in common. These neighborhood groups should help broaden our connections in the church, while also giving us an opportunity to reach out to people in our specific areas with the hope of the gospel.

We are continuing to look for a new place to meet since Chaparral High School will be undergoing major repair work through the summer. Our rent will undoubtedly increase. Please think about how you can give generously to the work of the church to support the church with these extra expenses. Please also pray that God would guide us to a new home. If you have any leads or ideas, please speak to one of the elders.

Have a great weekend! I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday.

In Christ,

Eric Landry
