It’s Friday, but Sunday’s Comin’!

Happy Friday, everyone!

Thanks to all of you who have made Sunday School a priority for your families. Our teachers are reporting that their classes are full and fun! The adults class continues this week in the Westminster Confession of Faith chapter 11: “On Justification.” Justification is one of those great biblical and theological words that we use to describe how sinners–like you and me–are made righteous before God. Do you know what the two sides of justification are? How can we be sure that we are right with God when so much of our lives still seem to be characterized by sinful behavior? We’ll tackle these questions and more at 9:30 this Sunday.

We’re slowly filling up the RSVPs for our 10th Anniversary Celebration. November 1st is coming up quick! We’ll meet for a fun lunch immediately after the worship service at the Temecula Community Center on Pujol Street (near Old Town). We still need a few volunteers. Please let me or Sue Weaver know if you are willing to help.

Remember, the session is asking you to prayerfully consider nominating new elders and deacons. You can pick up a brief explanation of what to look for in potential nominees and a nomination form on the bulletin table this Sunday. Nominations are now open. We will receive nominations through November 1.

Have a great weekend! I look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday.

In Christ,
Eric Landry
