Happy Friday everyone!
I hope you’re finding ways to stay cool this hot summer weekend. I always forget how warm it gets around here in August and September. Just as the rest of the country begins planning for fall weather, we’re checking to make sure the swimming pool hasn’t boiled over!

August is a five Sunday month and as is our practice, we are asking you to give a special offering on the fifth Sunday for our friends in need. The money that you give specifically toward our Mercy Fund (or Diaconal Fund) goes toward rent, utilities, grocery bills, and medical bills for people in our congregation who need occasional help. It is a very practical way that you can be the hands and feet of Jesus for those you sit next to, pray with, and sing along with as we worship God together.
