It’s Friday, but Sunday’s comin’!

Happy Friday everyone!

Thanks so much to all who were able to attend (and also those who helped with) our Women’s Ministry Fall kickoff lunch on Sunday! It was so wonderful to share in some quality fellowship and worship. We hope you are planning on joining us for our next women’s Bible Study. Mark your calendars now for the second and fourth Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30AM. Our first study will be next week, the 23rd at the home of the Khourys. We will be working through Nancy Guthrie’s book “The Lamb of God.” Cassie Recio will have a few copies of the book available on Sunday for $12 so find her to get a copy and be prepared for the first week. The study will also have childcare, which will be available for $10 per family to cover all 10 weeks. Prayer Group will be October 7th at 10AM (and every 1st Wednesday morning following) at the Weavers. Childcare NOT provided during the prayer group.

THIS Saturday is our opportunity to work with Mision Vida Nueva in Escondido. Please contact Mike DeWit if you are interested in helping!

This Sunday our Menifee sermon response group will meet immediately after the worship service. The Gunnerson Community Group will also meet for a BYO lunch fellowship after the worship service.

Sunday School is on its way. Our Fall semester will begin on October 4th. Would you like to help? We’re looking for teachers for our younger elementary school class. The curriculum is written for you and easy to follow. This is a great opportunity for two families to partner together in the Christian nurture of our kids.

There is still time to complete our short survey on our children’s Sunday School program. Please complete the survey online.

Have a great weekend!

In Christ,
Eric Landry

It’s Friday, but Sunday’s comin’!

Happy Friday everyone!

Sorry for the late email today, but it’s still Friday!

The Women’s Ministry Annual Fall Lunch is THIS Sunday! Ladies, please plan on arriving at 1PM. Spend a little extra time after church talking, arrange a carpool, and then make your way to the Harveston Clubhouse.

We’re excited to welcome a few new families into membership this Sunday and baptize an adult into the covenant of grace. Please continue to pray for the new folks who come to our church, that they would quickly feel “at home” with us.

Our youth study begin THIS Wednesday at the Recios. For more information, please contact Pastor Robert.

Guys, our monthly men’s Bible study and breakfast is tomorrow at 8AM at the Recios. Please let Pastor Robert know if you are coming so that we have enough food. We’ll be looking at Mark chapter 2 and more examples of King Jesus bringing the Kingdom of God and his kingship to bear on this world. Hope to see you Saturday.

The ladies of the church will be gathering this Saturday to help with decorations for our upcoming Ladies Luncheon on Sept. 13th. It would be great, if you can help! It’s OPEN HOUSE style from 9:00 am till 12:00 noon. Just come when you can and bring a breakfast treat to share. We need all the help we can get!  It’s at Sue Weaver’s house: 35987 Corte Renata Murrieta, 92562 (call for gate code: 949.939.7856).

The Women’s Ministry Annual Fall Lunch is NEXT week!  For all the details and to RSVP online, please visit tinyurl.com/CPCLunch2015. Please sign-up as soon as possible.

Jim and Sheryl Marsh are hosting the missions committee this Sunday. Seth Addison will be making an appearance at about 3:00.  The plan is to have each family provide their own lunches and a dessert to share for when Seth arrives.  We can spend time hanging out, swimming, and discussing world wide persecution of the church until Seth arrives.  This would be a great opportunity to gift Seth with food cards to help the needy families from Olive Branch. all are welcome. For more information, contact Mike DeWit.
